Carl Scharwath is a globally published poet, writer, and photographer whose work has appeared more than 180 times in literary publications worldwide. He is the author of five poetry books and four photography books, along with two international collaborative collections in which his art photography served as creative inspiration for fellow poets. Carl has been recognized with four Best of the Net nominations (2022–2025) and received two Pushcart Prize nominations in 2023—one for poetry and one for short fiction.  Carl volunteers with the Creative Happiness Institute, offering literary readings for assisted living residents and teaching writing workshops at area libraries.
